ABOUT
Battle at Byrd is one of the premier high school cheer competitions in the Commonwealth of Virginia, hosted by the William Byrd High School Cheer Team and Booster Club in Roanoke County. Professional photography for team pictures and action shots will be available. There will be college coaches on site to discuss collegiate cheer, vendors and food trucks.

All sponsors will have their logo placed on the Battle at Byrd T-shirt. The T-shirt will be worn by the Battle at Byrd staff and the William Byrd High School Cheerleaders.

Registration fees are $225.00 per team and are non-refundable. A maximum of 5 alternates per team will be allowed. Make checks payable to William Byrd High School and send to:

Routines must follow VHSL/NFHS guidelines.
Middle School: Time limits: No more than 3:00 minutes
High School: Must follow VHSL/NFHS guidelines. Routines must be at least 2:30 in length but no longer than 3:00 minutes with no more than 1:45 seconds of music.
Yes, a vendor will be on-site selling custom T-shirts and hoodies. There will also be a concession stand where visitors may purchase food and beverages. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES ALLOWED. NO FOOD OR DRINKS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE GYMNASIUM!
Admission is $10 for the day. Children 5 and under are free.
